Botox has valuable muscle relaxing properties and has long proven its effectiveness in the treatment of a variety of neurological diseases.
Botox (Vistabel) has been approved for the treatment of wrinkles caused by repetitious facial expressions since 2006.

Minute quantities are injected directly into the muscles that contribute to the development of wrinkles, which causes the muscles to relax temporarily. As a consequence, the existing wrinkles are smoothed. The face has a rejuvenated and more relaxed appearance while the normal facial expressions are maintained. The effect normally begins to become visible after 2 to 7 days and lasts anywhere from 4 to 6 months, after which it can be refreshed without any problems.  Botox is the ideal product to target specific “problem areas” and can be used as a supplement to hyaluronic acid treatments.

Hyaluronic is not a foreign substance for the human body. The gel-like product stores moisture naturally and is present in the joints, the eye and especially in the skin. In esthetic medicine, the application of hyaluronic acid as a filler has been practiced for many years as an established and proven method.  Injectable stabilized hyaluronic acid not sourced from animals is produced biotechnologically and is virtually identical with the body’s own substance.

Hyaluronic acid products are used for injections into wrinkled areas, for the refreshment of the skin and to develop facial contours. Products with specifically adjusted gel particle sizes are available for the different types of applications. The resulting effect lasts anywhere from 6 to 18 months.  Hyaluronic is optimally tolerated and an excellent solution for face and wrinkle treatments.
